Canon 8010 is a popular model of Canon’s all-in-one printers. It is capable of printing, scanning, copying, and faxing. It is an excellent device for home and office use. Like all printer models, however, it can accumulate a lot of waste ink over time, which can cause print quality issues. Fortunately, it is easy to clean the waste ink on Canon 8010 with a few simple steps.
First, make sure the device is powered off and unplugged. Once the device is powered off, open the access door and locate the waste ink tank. This is usually a large, square rubber cap near the ink cartridges. Lift the cap off and use a damp cloth to gently clean away any excess ink residue. After cleaning, put the cover back on, making sure it is securely sealed.
Next, remove the dust and dirt from the inside of the printer. This can be done using a damp, lint-free cloth. Make sure to wipe all surfaces, including the paper feed tray, the scanner glass, and the printer’s exterior. You may need to use a can of compressed air to blow away any dust and dirt from hard-to-reach areas.
The third step is to clean the print heads of the printer. This can be done by turning the printer on and selecting the ‘Printhead cleaning’ option from the main menu. This will run a series of nozzle checks and cleaning cycles to remove any excess ink that may have built up. After the process is finished, turn the printer off and wait at least 10 minutes for the printer to cool down before continuing with the remaining steps.
Finally, use a wet cloth to clean the outside of the printer, making sure to wipe away any fingerprints or smudges. Additionally, check the printer for any chips or cracks, and repair any issues if necessary. After that, turn the power back on and check the print quality. If everything looks good, put the access door back on and your Canon 8010 is now clean and ready to be used.
