Canon iP2700 Waste Ink Pad is used to absorb, collect, and contain any spilled ink from the print cartridge and the printer head during the printing, cleaning, and servicing of the print head. The waste ink pad should be replaced when it becomes completely saturated in order to prevent ink from leaking onto different parts of the printer and causing damage to it. It is advisable to replace the waste ink pad every 700 pages to maintain the performance of the printer and extend its life.
