Canon printers are shipped with Firmware updated for the latest technology and compatibility. When setting up the print job, the user needs to select the “Firmware Update” option. The firmware update process should take approximately 6 minutes. Then, before starting the print job, the user needs to reset the printer and make sure the default settings of 700 characters/minute for grayscale and 1600 characters/minute for color are selected.
