Canon MP288 Waste Ink Counter Reset Procedure
1. Turn off the printer. Unplug the power cord from the printer.
2. Open the printer cover to expose the ink cartridges.
3. Disconnect the 4 wires from the back of the ink cartridges.
4. Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
5. Press and hold the “COPY” and “COLOR” buttons at the same time on the printer’s control panel.
6. While holding the buttons, press the “RESET” button.
7. Release all the buttons.
8. The printer will now be reset and no longer display the “Waste Ink Counter” message.
9. Reconnect the 4 wires to the ink cartridges.
10. Close the printer cover.
